Overview

Manager, Risk Intelligence and Analytics — Manulife, Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines

The Manager, Risk Intelligence and Analytics, supporting the Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Risk function, will be responsible for delivering various functional capabilities including but not limited to: analytics, Large Language Models, reporting, modeling, automation, and other related investment risk oversight activities.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual GWAM related reporting to GWAM stakeholder
  • Automating monthly, quarterly, and annual GWAM related reporting with support from the Global Risk Intelligence and Technology (GRIT) function
  • Leading the automation of processes for collecting and analyzing data across the enterprise, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Supporting the delivery of machine learning, large language model and other related analytics projects within GWAM
  • Providing support to Risk and Technology Tooling team on data ingestion, clean-up, mapping etc. (e.g., data analysis, data clean-up, validation, creating and maintenance of reports and dashboards)
  • Identifying opportunities for creating efficiencies within reporting framework and processes
  • Evaluating data integrity for reporting readiness
  • Documenting processes, procedures, project work and ad hoc requests as required
Required Qualifications
  • A solid background of at least five (5) to eight (8) years in risk management, focusing on data analytics
  • Knowledgeable in financial services, preferably on buy-side investment management and the evaluation of investment risk
  • Proficient in Power BI and Power Platform (particularly PowerApps, Power Automate) for creating interactive dashboards, automating workflows, and developing custom applications
  • Skilled in dashboard design with a focus on UI/Ux
  • Strong reporting skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines, ensuring precise and accurate financial risk analysis
  • Highly organized individual with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent collaborative and relationship building skills; showing tact and diplomacy in dealing with others
  • Ability to learn quickly and comfortable with adjusting to ad-hoc changes in workflow
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in statistical software (e.g., Python, R) and risk management tools, along with experience in automating data processes and implementing digital solutions
  • Knowledgeable in database schemas, data modeling, and ETL processes
