Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Go. Develop, test, and optimize RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration with frontend interfaces and third‑party services. Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems and databases. Deploy, manage, and scale backend applications using Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform. Write clear, maintainable, and well‑documented code with a focus on efficiency and scalability. Collaborate cross‑functionally with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver features aligned with business objectives and user requirements. Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance using Datadog, focusing on metrics such as response times, resource utilization, error rates, and system health. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Qualifications Experienced backend engineer specializing in Go and building efficient, reliable, and scalable services. Hands‑on experience designing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL. Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and containerization; experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog. Committed to maintaining code quality through rigorous testing and code reviews; solid understanding of version control, notably Git and GitHub workflows. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Benefits 100% remote – work where you’re happiest. Competitive salary: ₱150,000 - ₱350,000 per month (or local currency equivalent). Monday to Friday, primarily within Philippine business hours; occasional outside‑hours work only in exceptional circumstances. 20 days paid vacation per year, 10 days paid/sick leave per year, and paid public holidays. Full‑time engagement with a team headquartered in Australia and local presence in the Philippines.
