Overview

Senior Engineer I - Validation at Microchip Technology Inc. This role is part of the New Product Development (NPD) team within the Analog & Mixed Signal Business unit (MSLD). You will be involved in validating high-performance Analog & Mixed Signal ICs and contribute to the successful introduction of new products to the market.

Responsibilities
  • Work with NPD teams (architects, designers, applications, marketing, product, test engineers) to develop and execute Validation and Characterization plans for new ICs.
  • Identify, direct, develop, implement, and improve lab bench setups; hone measurement methods and data analysis to support validation and characterization of new silicon products.
  • Drive continuous improvement in validation capabilities, quality, and cycle time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering.
  • Knowledge of electronics and basic circuit design.
  • Familiarity with schematic design and PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, multimeters, logic analyzer, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and review design objective specifications and data sheets.
  • Good understanding of semiconductor device physics and processing.
  • Architectural knowledge of Op Amps, Voltage references, Amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, Digi Pots, and Temperature Sensors is a plus.
  • Experience in LabVIEW and Python programming is a plus.
