Overview

We are looking for a CAD Designer / Industrial Designer with hands-on experience in SketchUp and a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes . The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient designs, technical drawings, and 3D models that support the production of metal structures, components, and assemblies.

Role: CAD Designer / Industrial Designer (Metal Fabrication)

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and modifying CAD designs for metal fabrication projects
  • Develop technical drawings and 3D models based on project specs
  • Support engineers and designers in reviewing, refining, and finalizing designs
  • Ensure accuracy in measurements, tolerances, and material specifications
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are fabrication-ready
  • Conduct basic design checks to confirm feasibility and manufacturability
  • Maintain organized project files and drawing documentation
  • Perform other design-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Vocational Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, CAD, Industrial Design, or a related course
  • Proficient in SketchUp ; experience with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Prior experience in metal fabrication , construction, or manufacturing industries is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings , measurements , and tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints , fabrication drawings, and project specifications
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines
