What You'll Do

Be part of our client's team as a Financial Accountant and manage financial reporting, compliance, and client advisory for Australian businesses. You will handle everything from tax regulations and reconciliations to client communication and process improvements—delivering accurate, high-quality results that drive business growth.

What It Takes to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory)
• CPA, CA, or equivalent certification (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience within the commerce industry
• Proven expertise in Australian tax compliance , including GST, PAYG, and superannuation (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) , tax regulations, and reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience in financial reporting and compliance for Australian clients
• Proficiency in financial software systems such as Xero, MYOB, or similar platforms used in Australia
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and related financial tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
• High attention to detail with a commitment to accurate, high-quality output
• Stable career history with long-term tenure in previous roles

How You'll Make an Impact

• Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses for AU clients in compliance with AASB
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and reconciliation of financial data
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reports for clients
• Ensure compliance of financial statements with AU regulations and company policies

Accounts Management

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions for AU clients
• Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and fixed asset register updates
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations on financial performance and discrepancies
• Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliations for AU subsidiaries or branches

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including GST, PAYG, superannuation, and corporate tax
• Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and income tax returns
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance with AU tax laws
• Monitor changes to Australian tax legislation and advise clients on financial implications

Client Support & Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for AU clients, providing financial advice and timely responses to inquiries
• Provide regular updates to clients on financial performance, cash flow, and tax obligations
• Build strong client relationships by offering tailored financial solutions
• Assist clients in implementing and optimizing financial software and accounting systems compliant with AU standards

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations
• Collaborate with the finance team to automate workflows such as invoicing and payment processing
• Apply best practices in financial reporting to ensure consistency and accuracy for AU clients
