Workday Payroll Consultant (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Workday Payroll Consultant to support payroll operations, system enhancements, and compliance within our Workday environment. The role involves collaborating with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate payroll processing, system configuration, and continuous improvement of payroll-related processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support Workday Payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Perform configuration, testing, and validation of payroll changes, including tax updates, earnings, deductions, and time integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues in partnership with HR and Finance teams.
  • Build and maintain Workday Payroll reports to support business needs, audits, and compliance.
  • Support system releases, enhancements, and UAT for payroll functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Document payroll processes and provide guidance to HR/Payroll users.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, with at least 2+ years in Workday Payroll.
  • Experience with US Payroll is required.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax compliance, and timekeeping integrations.
  • Experience in Workday reporting, EIBs, and configuration related to payroll.
  • Familiarity with global payroll operations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Workday Payroll certification is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in English
