About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly capable and driven Data Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex data environments, brings deep technical expertise in Python and MongoDB, and has a strong background in building scalable data pipelines and performing complex data migrations.
As a key contributor, you’ll help shape the backbone of our data infrastructure, working across systems to ensure seamless data flow, accuracy, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and AWS technologies.
• Perform complex data conversions and migrations between systems with precision and reliability.
• Work extensively with MongoDB, ensuring data consistency, performance optimization, and schema design.
• Leverage pandas and other Python tools for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
• Integrate with services and data flows using Node.js and TypeScript when needed.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker to support development, testing, and deployment of data services.
• Utilize Linux command line (bash) for scripting, automation, and operational support.
• Operate within and contribute to our AWS-based infrastructure, supporting secure and scalable data workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Deep expertise in the Python data ecosystem, especially pandas and related libraries.
• Total mastery of MongoDB, including advanced queries, performance tuning, and data modeling.
• Extensive experience building data pipelines for ETL/ELT workflows in production environments.
• Strong experience with data conversion and migration strategies and execution.
• Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript for supporting service integration and custom tooling.
• Hands-on proficiency with Linux command line (bash) and Docker.
• Practical knowledge of the AWS ecosystem - experience with tools like S3, Lambda, Glue, or Redshift is a plus.
• AWS Data Engineer Certification is a strong advantage.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly document and explain technical work.
• A mindset focused on data quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Work Style & Expectations:
• Primarily US-based hours (8 AM - 5 PM Eastern), with occasional support needed during evening hours (5 PM - 11 PM Eastern).
• Comfortable with periodic on-call responsibilities for emergency support.
•Highly responsive and dependable, especially in high-priority or time-sensitive situations. Slack availability on mobile is expected.
• Excellent communication skills - most interactions occur over Slack and Zoom, with occasional client-facing conversations.
