We are scaling rapidly and need a resourceful, highly organized and detail‑oriented CPA to support our bookkeeping team. With the ability to work remotely from anywhere, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your organizational and bookkeeping skills to assist our bookkeeping operations while still balancing your personal life. Position Overview We are looking for a skilled and experienced CPA to join our bookkeeping team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, be a resourceful self‑starter, thrive in fast‑changing tech environments, and is endlessly curious about finding smart ways to get things done faster, with strong organizational and accounting skills. They must also be comfortable leveraging AI and technology to enhance accounting tasks. This individual must be able to follow checklists and processes and have the ability to think outside‑the‑box. As our CPA, you'll begin by learning and focusing on one specific project. Once you've demonstrated a solid understanding of that task or project, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and projects and expand your role. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support Schedule and manage your calendar, appointments, and meetings, conference calls and team collaboration sessions, ensuring efficient time management. Track action items, and ensure follow‑up on open items, pending emails and other decisions and tasks. Prepare documents, reports, and presentations as needed for client meetings and internal reviews. Maintain and organize digital files, ensuring uniform naming, tags, locations, accessibility and confidentiality. Perform general administrative duties, such updating notes on client interactions and requests. Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Assist with basic bookkeeping and expense report preparation, ensuring timely submissions and approvals. Collect, organize, and maintain confidential client information, including contracts, financial data, and communications. Project Management Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of key projects to ensure timely delivery of results. Track progress on key deliverables, deadlines, and project milestones, updating executives as necessary. Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during project execution. Research & Special Tasks Conduct research on vendors, expenses and other analysis as requested by the preparer. Assist with ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed. Comfortable navigating evolving technology and digital systems. Proactively learns new tools, software, and workflows as needed. Adapts quickly to updates, changes, and process improvements. Demonstrates confidence, curiosity, and initiative when tackling tech‑related responsibilities. Key Qualifications • Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service or as a CPA or in a similar role • Proven experience working remotely across time zones. • Strong organizational, project management, attention to detail, and time management skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong time‑management skills and self‑motivation to meet deadlines. • Strong background or understanding of accounting functions, operations, process optimization, management, and or team leadership is a plus. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Voice, etc.). • Familiarity with project management software (Asana, Trello, or similar tools) is preferred. • Experience with accounting QuickBooks software is required. • Experience in Construction and or real estate industry preferred. • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, forward thinking environment with evolving responsibilities. • Comfortable using technology and AI to streamline and improve processes. Mandatory Technical & Other Requirements Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a professional home office setup with a laptop/PC. A working camera and microphone for virtual meetings. Secure router or VPN – absolutely NO Public wifi connections are allowed. Ability to work during Pacific Standard Time and/or Mountain Standard Time with flexibility to accommodate occasional changes in schedule. Competitive salary based on experience. Salary Range Based on experience, the first 90 days of employment will be paid between $7 - $10 per hour. The expectation is that you will work a maximum of 40 hours a week. Once 90 days have passed, and your performance review confirms your understanding of the business operations and needs as well as your skillset to take the business forward, you will be eligible for a pay increase.
