Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer role at Yondu, Inc. The Sr. DevOps Engineer leads and collaborates with software developers, system operators, and IT staff to manage code releases and design, plan, and test systems that integrate software development, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based or virtual cloud applications in a microservices architecture.
  • Design deployment flows to ensure resiliency against failures.
  • Research, integrate, and automate deployment of multiple tools and services.
  • Optimize the team’s compute architecture.
  • Automate and orchestrate workloads across multiple public clouds.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development to streamline deployments.
  • Collaborate to improve engineering tools, systems, procedures, and data security.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Configure advanced monitoring and alerting systems; proactively address issues.
  • Integrate security measures into CI/CD and deployment processes.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and speed.
  • Ensure alignment of CI/CD with application requirements and operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor9s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certified AWS DevOps Engineer.
  • Self-sufficient and hands-on.
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with high availability, scalability, and reliability solutions (advantage).
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes (advantage).
  • Experience in multi-cloud solutions (advantage).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, etc.; building cloud-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience with VM and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with deployment tools such as Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, etc.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Ruby); Git and Git workflows.
  • Experience with monitoring of networks, servers, and application status.
Knowledge
  • Strong business acumen and value chain understanding.
  • IT Service Operations/ITSM proficiency.
  • IT literacy around applications and systems.
  • Operational excellence; SDLC and software development.
  • Linux/Unix, MySQL, system and network configuration (intermediate).
  • Financial management (intermediate).
  • MS Office; Git workflows; CI/CD tooling.
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
