We empower our engineers and provide them with the tools and support to excel. About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote QA Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of our diverse product suite. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, contributing significantly to our release cycles and overall product success. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with engineering teams (frontend, backend, mobile) throughout the entire software development lifecycle to define, design, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies. Develop and maintain robust test cases (manual and automated) for our core technology stacks: Vue.js, Laravel, Ruby, Flutter, iOS (native), and Android (native). Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and usability testing. Identify, document, and track bugs and defects with clear, concise, and reproducible steps. Work with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, methodologies, and tools. Champion quality best practices across the engineering organisation. Participate in code reviews and design discussions, providing valuable QA insights. Actively contribute to the selection, implementation, and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools. Communicate proactively and effectively with remote team members, sharing progress, challenges, and insights. Ensure all testing activities align with our ISO27001 compliance standards and internal security policies. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a dedicated QA Engineer , with a strong focus on software quality assurance. Demonstrated experience testing applications built with at least three of the following technologies: Vue.js, Laravel, Ruby on Rails, Flutter, iOS (Swift/Objective-C), Android (Kotlin/Java). Proven experience with various test frameworks and automation tools relevant to our stack (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Jest, PHPUnit, RSpec, XCUITest, Espresso, etc.). Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, managing time effectively and prioritising tasks. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing into the deployment process. Understanding of security best practices in software development and testing, particularly in the context of ISO27001 compliance. Proactive attitude with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. Bonus Points Experience with performance testing tools. Familiarity with penetration testing concepts or tools. Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia). #J-18808-Ljbffr
