Job description

1. Ensure compliance with the requirements with their respective implementing rules and regulations and other pertinent rules and regulations including Board Resolution for establishments under the Laguna de Bay Region where appropriate, such as:
2. PD 1586, Philippine Environmental Impact Statement System
3. RA 6969, Toxic Substances & Hazardous & Nuclear Control Act of 1990
4. RA 8749, Philippine Clean Air Act
5. RA 9003, Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000
6. RA 9275, Philippine Clear Water Act

1. Identify significant environmental aspects and impacts of the establishment’s operational activities and recommend mitigating measures in the formulation/preparation and/or review of the Environment Management Plan and Contingency Plan.

1. Attend to all permitting requirements and registration requirements of the establishment prior to the construction, installation, or operation of pollution sources and control facilities.

1. Ensure proper performance, operation, and maintenance of environmental management facilities or systems such as:
2. - Waste water treatment facilities
3. - Air pollution control devices referred to in DAO
4. - Hazardous waste management storage area
5. - Solid waste segregation/management facilities
6. - Environmental monitoring devices such as Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems, Air Monitoring Stations, effluent flow metering/measuring devices, groundwater monitoring wells, and other environmental monitoring devices

1. Ensure that hazardous wastes disposed offsite are covered by a Permit to Transport; each transport is covered by a hazardous waste manifest duly signed by the transporter and TSD facility; and with corresponding Certificate of Treatment duly signed by the TSD facility. Copies of the signed hazardous waste manifest and COT shall be submitted to the concerned EMB Regional Office in accordance with DNR Adm. Or. No.

1. Ensure that transport vehicles are properly operated and maintained.

1. Ensure hazardous waste Treatment Storage and Disposal facilities are properly operated and maintained.

1. Monitor compliance to the requirements specified in the Environmental Compliance Certificate and the commitments stipulated in the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plans or Environmental Performance Report and Management Plans, and report the same in the Compliance Monitoring Report.

1. Promptly submit validated/certified as correct by the General Manager periodic reports as stipulated in Section 7 hereof or as required by the Authority (otherwise, said report shall not be accepted as evidence in pollution cases).

1. As a liaison officer with the Authority, stay abreast with the requirements and the latest available technology on prevention, control, and abatement of pollution.

1. Maintain liaison with city/provincial/municipal or local pollution control officers.

1. Attend meetings for Pollution Control Officers as called by the Authority; keep abreast with the requirements of the DENR.

1. Facilitate compliance of the establishment with requirements prescribed by the Authority;

1. Recommend to the management the installation and operation of additional equipment for pollution abatement facilities; and

1. Handle other environmental matters as required by the employer.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of science-based courses (Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, BS Biology, Industrial Engineering, BS Chemistry).
2. At least 5 years’ experience in the related field.
3. Experience as PCO, with at least a year of processing environmental-related documents.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month

Schedule :

1. Day shift
2. Monday to Friday
3. Weekends

Supplemental pay types :

1. 13th month salary
2. Overtime pay
