Job Description The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of a highly available and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for developing automation solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring the security and reliability of cloud services. You will mentor junior team members, collaborate with development and operations teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with best practices in site reliability engineering. Duties and Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and IAM. Develop and implement automated solutions for infrastructure management, monitoring, and incident response using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation. Lead incident response efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and development of remediation strategies. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost, leveraging AWS services and industry best practices. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to define SRE standards and best practices, and ensure compliance with security and governance policies. Stay up-to-date with emerging AWS technologies and contribute to the strategic planning of cloud infrastructure. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3, EKS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront) and cloud‑native architectures. In‑depth knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs, routing, load balancing, and security groups within AWS environments. Advanced skills in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus). Familiarity with cloud security principles and best practices, including network security, IAM, and compliance standards. Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple priorities. Leadership experience, with proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams. Professional Experience 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related role with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure. Proven track record in designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud environments using AWS services like EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and IAM. Proficiency with advanced automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) for infrastructure as code (IaC). Strong background in incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning. Experience in VPN configuration, networking, and routing protocols, including implementing secure communication channels and managing network traffic. Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead cross‑functional technical initiatives.
