Overview Senior SQL Developer/Engineer (Nightshift - WFH) role at MicroSourcing. Responsibilities Report to the Support Manager and work independently or as part of the support team. Undertake highly technical tasks that arise during the resolution of tickets, logging into various systems to resolve problems or issues. Work on the Support Portal: review incidents, problems and change requests. Participate in inhouse training and work with leading edge technology in blue-chip multinational F&B companies. Be based in Dublin with international travel as some strategic clients are US-based. Qualifications Graduates in computer science or mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering, preferably with a postgraduate degree in Information Technology or substantial IT experience. At least 7 years of experience in software projects delivery for process-oriented environments. Industry knowledge in food and beverage processing is advantageous. History of supporting bespoke software applications and active participation in testing and computer system validation of MES systems and related configuration. Technical Skills Database : Knowledge of SQL Databases; strong T-SQL, stored procedures, views, functions, triggers; diagnose and address operational data issues; Microsoft SQL Management Studio; SQL Server Profiler. ETL & SSIS : Ability to debug code in C#, JavaScript, HTML, XAML; knowledge of WPF, HTML5, .NET Framework, SSRS reporting; Visual Studio; Telerik software tools (a plus). Technical - Other (Plus but Not Required) : Windows / network administration; Internet Information Services (IIS); Power BI; data warehouse customer support; ability to communicate regularly and effectively; expand on and clarify customer requests; replicate customer/application issues; diagnose root cause and document solutions; resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner; prioritise issue resolution based on severity. General : Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task; ability to comprehend technical information related to software, computer and network hardware; proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Manufacturing (Plus but Not Required) : Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes/automation (Food and Beverage industries); analytical abilities; familiarity with Aspentech MES (plus); working to ISO 9001 systems engineering methodologies; fluent English and good customer interaction skills.
