Director, Beauty Operations – Victoria’s Secret Store Operations

The Director of Beauty Operations is responsible for establishing and aligning the store operations agenda with Beauty objectives. This role plays the crucial link to the Beauty team and the stores team, representing stores and the customer in critical business meetings and decisions. This position is also responsible for developing strategies to achieve budgeted Beauty sales and profit through supporting new product launches, associate engagement, communication, trainings, improving operational capabilities, creating simplified applications, collaboration at all levels and gaining organizational support during key volume moments. Responsibilities Build the Brand Builds and maintains necessary relationships and partnerships with the Beauty team to position the stores team to have a greater level of influence and upstream involvement in Beauty and stores decision making to provide a proactive level of support for the Beauty business. Maintains a long-term perspective of the Beauty brand and business priorities. Develops innovative strategies to drive top line sales through new product launches. Forward‑thinking and accurately anticipates opportunities and risks in the Beauty business and develops effective responses. Communicates and aligns Beauty business strategies to core operational priorities. Collaborates cross‑functionally daily to design cost effective and efficient programs or processes to address critical actions and business needs. Advises business unit leadership on recommendations and influences decision making. Identifies trends and opportunities to define changes in process and procedures that drive operations and selling agendas. Develops communication to stores on operational and sales related activities. Seeks to anticipate opportunities and risks in the sub‑brand business and develops effective action plans. Builds Talent Attracts, selects, retains and develops top talent and creates a culture that makes Victoria’s Secret the best place to work. Provides accurate and candid feedback to Beauty Project Manager and cross‑functional partners on their performance, strengths and development needs. Defines the roles of associates to effectively and efficiently drive the Beauty operations agenda. Gets personally and actively involved in the selection, development and retention of the team. Challenges associates at all levels to question accepted ways and to develop new and innovative approaches. Creates a team environment in which diverse opinions are encouraged and openly expressed. Advices field leaders on key Beauty strategies, seeks feedback, input and partnership to inform and influence future planning, strategies and execution. Builds Capability Continuously improves operational performance in the business while considering consistency in operational processes and the needs of the total store. Partners cross‑functionally to ensure Beauty workload fits into the Master Store Operations Calendar. Influences productivity and cost‑saving opportunities in all operational components such as Merchandise Flow, Packaging, Labor Management and Loss Prevention. Identifies visual operational opportunities that simplify in‑store execution. Actively seeks, identifies and implements internal and external operational best practices. Tries new ideas, takes calculated risks, and encourages others to do the same, as appropriate. Qualifications 8-10 years of retail experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management role. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective business partnerships. Ability to lead a team. Ability to recognize the broad implications of issues and challenges and identify potential solutions. Ability to communicate and influence effectively with all levels inside and outside the organization. Proven experience successfully leading and implementing large‑scale change, process improvements, and innovations. Proven organizational skills – able to manage multiple demands with competing priorities and allocate time effectively. Ability to analyze situations and resolve issues with innovation and creativity. Ability to develop processes for all operations functions (e.g., payroll, budgeting). Ability to lead and drive projects to completion. Strong attention to detail. Up to 30% travel required.
