This role requires a detail‑oriented and experienced professional who can lead external audit engagements, ensure compliance with auditing standards, and deliver high‑quality client service. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and finalising audits, supervising audit associates, and communicating with clients to address complex audit matters. You must demonstrate strong technical expertise in audit methodologies, financial reporting, and risk assessment, with a preference for experience using CaseWare and Australian auditing standards. This role reports to the Audit Manager and other senior leadership as necessary. Key Responsibilities Audit Engagement & Execution Plan and execute audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards. Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. Identify audit risks, develop audit strategies, and propose solutions to mitigate risks. Ensure audit procedures are performed efficiently, meeting quality and timeliness expectations. Provide technical guidance on complex audit issues, including research on accounting and auditing standards. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and providing professional insights. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem‑solving. Facilitate the efficient flow of information between the client and the audit team. Team Leadership & Development Supervise, coach, and mentor junior audit associates, ensuring quality and consistency in audit work. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to audit team members. Promote knowledge‑sharing within the team, particularly on best practices and emerging audit trends. Budget & Financial Management Assist in the budget preparation for audit engagements, monitoring actual hours against budgeted time. Work closely with the Finance Manager and Audit Manager to ensure cost‑effectiveness and efficiency in audit processes. Continuous Improvement & Compliance Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in auditing. Recommend improvements to audit methodologies and workflows for increased efficiency. Ensure audit documentation meets professional standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. A CPA license is required. 6+ years of continuous experience in audit or a related field. Strong background in planning, executing, and completing audit procedures for both basic and complex audit sections. Experience in CaseWare is preferred but not required. Prior experience with Australian auditing methodologies is beneficial. Additional certifications or specialized training in auditing or accounting are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Strong understanding of risk assessment and compliance with professional standards. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and auditing tasks. Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines under high‑pressure conditions. Internet Requirements Candidates must have a stable internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps upload / 10 Mbps download speed with latency under 30 ms).
