The Adoption Pillar builds awareness by sharing how Cloudflare can make a positive impact for customers and prospects. This spans across all channels of customer engagement: marketing pages, Cloudflare’s blog, the public customer dashboard, and domain search and registration. We build the technology that allows customer-facing teams to Cloudflare customers.

As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Platform Team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the main internal administrative tool. You will build customer configurations and customer support tools for several cross-functional teams. You’ll bring industry best practices for standing up custom applications, and a solid understanding of modern development.

• Use tools, frameworks, and libraries to build a robust administrative platform
• We’re currently using Javascript and Python; bonus points if you have worked with PHP for legacy portions of the platform
• Review work from your peers throughout all stages of the development lifecycle
• Support fellow team members through constructive code reviews and pair programming to help bring out their best work

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• More than 5 years of experience building and managing high volume web applications; React, Typescript, and Python are expected
• PHP is a plus
• Experience building, deploying and operating services
• You enjoy getting things done and have a bias for action: you're a builder and a creator and have contributed teams that deliver results
• Understanding of core web performance and server-side applications
• Deep knowledge of feature flagging and incremental feature delivery
• Experience contributing to build systems for large JavaScript and/or PHP projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Curiosity and empathy are coveted traits here
• Deep understanding of the web and technologies such as web browsers, HTTP, JavaScript, and the DOM
• BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: Contributed to open-source JavaScript tools and frameworks, knowledge of A/B testing, and public presentations

Athenian Project : In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.

1.1.1.1 : We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released.
