About The Role We’re looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who can bring financial controllership-level discipline and leadership to our growing team. While the title reflects our org structure and compensation range, this role carries strategic weight and reports directly to the CEO. As the financial lead, you’ll partner with senior leaders to drive planning, forecasting, and overall financial performance, while also managing and mentoring our 5-person finance team, building strong systems, creating structure, and staying closely involved in day-to-day operations in a growing SME setup. Responsibilities Strategic Finance Leadership Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial direction and long-term planning. Build and manage annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow projections. Develop financial models to guide growth, investment, and expansion strategies. Controllership & Compliance Oversee all financial reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination, and regulatory filings. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Implement internal controls, policies, and financial risk management practices. Operational & Cost Excellence Oversee costing of inventory and SKUs, and analyze gross margins to drive profitability. Monitor financial performance across our eCommerce platforms and product lines. Recommend tools, systems, and automation to scale finance operations. People & Process Leadership Create SOPs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability. Lead and manage our junior accounting/finance staff. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) non-negotiable. 5+ years of experience in finance, audit, or FP&A, with at least 23 years in a senior finance or Controller-like role. Background in eCommerce, retail, or FMCG is a strong plus. Required Skills Strong in budgeting, financial reporting, inventory management, and costing. Familiar with ERP/accounting tools like QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite. Strategic thinker, business-savvy, and detail-oriented. Can lead confidently in fast-paced, lean environments.
