Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the Corporate IT organization, you will join the IT Delivery team for LIMs (Laboratory Information Management Systems: StarLIMS technology) providing technical expertise:

  • Participate in the implementation of a LIMS solution based on XFD/HTML5 technologies, either by developing new applications/features or by maintaining existing ones.
  • Participate in the integration of instruments with the LIMS solution based on XFD/HTML5 technologies, either by developing new integrations or maintaining existing ones.
  • Participate in integrating LIMS with internal or third-party applications through API development in StarLIMS and .NET API in Azure NGI framework, or by maintaining/improving existing integrations.
  • Review and optimize SQL queries.
  • Provide 3rd level application support.
  • Collaborate with vendor delivery teams and provide technical guidance.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and quality implementation of LIMS development.
  • Translate business and IT specifications into detailed designs and code, including testing.
  • Maintain high code quality, document appropriately, and optimize performance.
  • Implement data model changes for LIMS.
  • Create views and SQL statements for applications or reporting.
  • Define indexes for performance optimization.
  • Provide 3rd level support for in-house development.
  • Comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Qualifications Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant StarLIMS and Crystal Reports experience.
  • Knowledge of LIMS or instrument integration.
  • Experience with Relational Databases, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Preferred: Crystal Reports, GIT, Word Report development experience.
  • Strong SQL development and database design skills.
  • Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience working in international environments.
