Job Description

Information Security Governance

  • Develop and maintain the bank's information security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with BSP Circular No. 982 and Circular No. 808.
  • Ensure effective governance structures are in place to support cybersecurity and IT risk management across business units.
  • Lead periodic reviews and updates of the bank's security framework to reflect evolving threats and regulatory changes.
Risk Management
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of information security risks, including cyber threats, data breaches, and third-party risks.
  • Conduct IT risk profiling in accordance with BSP's classification guidelines (Complex, Moderate, Simple).
  • Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk teams to ensure integrated risk management practices.
Strategy and Compliance
  • Drive the strategic direction of the bank's cybersecurity program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitor compliance with BSP regulations, including the Manual of Regulations for Banks (MORB), and ensure timely reporting of incidents and risk assessments.
  • Lead initiatives to improve cyber resilience, including threat intelligence, incident response planning, and business continuity integration.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary liaison with BSP and other regulatory bodies on matters related to information security and IT risk.
  • Provide strategic guidance and reporting to senior leadership on the bank's security posture, risk exposure, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support global and regional security initiatives and ensure local implementation is consistent with enterprise standards.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's or Master 0s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Deep understanding of BSP regulations, including Circulars 982 and 808, and the Manual of Regulations for Banks (MORB).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security governance frameworks and risk management strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT) and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
    • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
    • CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
    • CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT)
