Overview Our vision for the future is based on the idea that transforming financial lives starts by giving our people the freedom to transform their own. We have a flexible work environment, and fluid career paths. We celebrate internal mobility and recognize the importance of purpose, well-being, and work-life balance. Within Empower and our communities, we work hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, and our associates dedicate thousands of hours to volunteering for causes that matter most to them. Chart your own path and grow your career while helping more customers achieve financial freedom. Empower Yourself. Role As a Product Manager on our Investment Products team, you will create an experience that redefines what consumers expect in financial services, launching new investment products that give consumers the confidence and trust to achieve their short-term and long-term financial goals. This role requires a strong product management track record and a candidate who brings creativity and humility, product sense and analytical skill, leadership, and the ability to collaborate. What you will do You will be responsible for setting the vision, identifying opportunities and key inputs, setting goals, defining client experiences, leading the launch of new investment products, and delivering features. You will set big, ambitious goals, be gritty, and hold yourself and cross-functional teams accountable to deliver results on behalf of our clients. You will be a vocal and empathetic customer advocate, influencing and building cross-functional experiences with stakeholders across all business units. This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, marketing, data science, design, operations, finance, risk, legal, compliance and executive teams to set business objectives, define product strategy, prioritize features and execute on them. You’ll play the critical role of driving the business while bridging the technical and business worlds to drive profitable growth while managing risk. What you will do: Define a product strategy that identifies opportunities with the biggest consumer impact, helping our end customers achieve their financial goals. Own the product roadmap, including significant short- and long-term opportunities for your product in the context of the broader organizational strategy and goals. Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous opportunities. Obsess about product design, partnering closely with Designers to simplify the experience and deliver a better experience. Leverage customer research, usability testing, and market research to improve likelihood of success and user satisfaction. Partner with engineering and design to increase team velocity, cohesiveness, and productivity. Inspire and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners to drive buy-in and consensus. Work with cross-functional teams to drive product requirements, manage resources and dependencies, gain approvals (compliance, legal, etc.), and lead the team through key milestones. Understand Empower’s business goals, the competitive landscape, and design products that align with our mission and vision. Define, analyze, and track key performance metrics. Drive decision making through customer insights, agile methods to validate hypotheses, quantitative analysis, and A/B testing. Execute at a fast pace with a focus on customer outcomes, the user experience, and learning with limited oversight. Constantly challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to move faster and more efficiently. What you will bring 3+ years of experience leading major digital direct-to-consumer products and working collaboratively with engineering, design, and research teams. Exceptional prioritization and stakeholder management skills, particularly with compliance/legal partners in a highly regulated industry. Excellent communication skills, storytelling, and organizational skills that instill confidence in senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and peers. Relentless follow through and commitment to do the right thing and to do what you say. Detail and design oriented; the details really matter to you. Passionate about tackling complicated and impactful customer and business problems. Critical, analytical thinker capable of analyzing data and pulling out key insights. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience. What will set you apart Proven track record of navigating the full product life cycle, integrating customer feedback in requirements, driving prioritization, and pre/post-launch execution. Experience in the fintech industry with demonstrable knowledge of industry best practices.
