Senior Optical Module Engineer - Pico - San Jose Location: San Jose Team: Technology Employment Type: Regular Job Code: A07252A Responsibilities Lead the design and prototype development of MR/AR optical modules or core component. Integrate optical module technologies, coordinate with core-component, display, mechanical, process, testing, and quality teams to solve technical challenges. As optical module lead, guiding the project team from proof of concept to NPI phase, ensuring delivery of optical modules. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or Optics. At least 3 years of work experience, including experience with mass production projects. Familiarity with product development processes. Strong ability to learn quickly, execute efficiently, and communicate effectively across teams to drive technical problem-solving. Proficiency in one or more of the following simulation tools: Optics: Zemax, Lumerical, RSoft, LightTools; Structure: Creo, SolidWorks; Thermal: Flotherm; Mechanics: Abaqus, Ansys. Preferred: Experience specifically in AR/VR hardware development. Preferred: Familiarity with data analysis methods such as deep learning and statistical machine learning. Preferred: Expertise in prescription lens solutions for XR (extended reality) systems. Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $162,000 - $408,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
