Software Developer Principal

Overview Join to apply for the Software Developer Principal role at General Dynamics Information Technology . This position is 100% on site in Bossier City, LA. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required. The role is full-time with a scheduled 40 hours per week and travel less than 10%. Responsibilities Deliver solutions to complex problems as a Software Developer Advisor at GDIT. Tailor solutions to the unique requirements of clients and focus on end user experience. Assist in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Assist with user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems. Assist with creating models and diagrams to communicate software requirements to programmers. Perform software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs. Provide analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status. Advise on software or systems for optimal documentation, maintenance, and future updates. Possibly coach and guide less experienced professionals. Assist in research, design, and development of application software. Qualifications BA/BS degree and 5+ years of related experience (additional years may be considered in lieu of degree). Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience. Required Technical Skills: Software development in C, C++, scripting (bash, tcsh, JavaScript); Linux (required), Windows. Other Skills: Agile experience, system/software design, GitLab. Certifications: Security+; COMPTIA (note: keep as listed). Onsite position at Bossier City, LA; US Citizenship; Active Secret clearance. Additional Details Salary range: $80,750 - $109,250 (not a guarantee; may vary by experience, location, and contractual requirements). Work Location: USA, LA, Bossier City. Travel: Less than 10%.
