SEO Consultant

We are a performance-driven digital team looking for a skilled and proactive SEO Consultant to join us on a freelance or contract basis. You’ll be working alongside strategic and creative professionals to support high-impact SEO campaigns across a variety of industries. This role is best suited for someone with a proven track record of executing comprehensive SEO strategies from audit to implementation.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support a wide range of SEO initiatives with a focus on action completion and performance improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

• Initial Setup & Audits

Conduct comprehensive SEO audits (technical, on-page, content, backlink profile)Perform competitor analysis (keyword gaps, backlink profiles, content opportunities)Carry out thorough keyword research aligned with user intent and business goalsReview historical performance and identify areas for improvementAudit current tracking and analytics setup

• On-Page SEO

Optimize meta data (titles, descriptions, headers) for CTR and rankingsImprove existing content for keyword integration, readability, and UXReview and implement enhancements to meet EEAT standardsRefine URL structures, optimize images and videos, and implement schema markupDevelop and implement internal linking strategiesCreate briefs for new content, blogs, and page enhancements

• Technical SEO

Improve website speed and Core Web Vitals (CWVs)Ensure mobile responsiveness and optimizationOptimize and submit sitemaps, robots.txt, and manage crawl errorsAddress broken links, implement canonical tags, and resolve HTTPS issues

• Off-Page & Local SEO

Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles, local citations, and directory listingsEnsure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across platformsIdentify link-building opportunities, analyze competitors’ backlink strategiesCreate and optimize location-specific pages and apply local schema markupOptimize content with local keyword targeting and implement enhancements to local SEO visibility

• Analytics, Strategy & Reporting

Analyze performance through Google Analytics, Search Console, Looker StudioIdentify and disavow toxic backlinksMonitor industry trends, search algorithm updates, and performance patternsUncover and prioritize SEO barriers and high-impact opportunitiesPresent actionable recommendations aligned with specific business goals.

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience (agency or in-house)
• Strong understanding of technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO
• Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Looker Studio, and others
• A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize based on impact
