Overview

Manager, Transformation role at Dover Business Services (DBS) within Dover Corporation. The DBS Transformation Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of transformation and transition initiatives and supporting optimization of finance processes and technologies. The role focuses on collaborating with stakeholders across Dover to drive optimization, efficiency, effectiveness, and cost reduction in finance and accounting processes, improving business results, and delivering world-class, customer-focused services to Dover’s Operating Companies (OpCos). The role may include expanding the DBS service catalogue and transitioning finance activities from OpCos to DBS sites. This position partners with and builds strong working relationships with leaders of DBS, OpCos, and IT, and requires effectively communicating and presenting complex topics to these stakeholders. This is a highly visible role offering exposure to a broad set of responsibilities, projects, and complex assignments in collaboration with Dover’s global Finance leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee successful implementation of transformation and transition initiatives and PMO optimization projects by the Transformation team, primarily focused on the Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Purchase-to-Pay processes
  • Oversee successful implementation of the transformation roadmap and report progress to leadership, including benefits realized and escalation of project risks
  • Lead or support transformation, optimization and transition projects, including design, build, execution, quality assurance and delivery
  • Manage the global Transformation team, fostering an effective, efficient, and engaged culture and ensuring professional development of key resources
  • Project Management: implement PM best practices, monitor dependencies across interrelated projects, report consolidated status and financial information to leadership, identify risks and mitigate with stakeholders
  • Relationship building: engage with key stakeholder groups across Dover as a business partner
  • Lead change management and communication efforts for projects
  • Conceive and implement improvement opportunities to reduce costs and improve process value, promoting best practices and leading trends
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Financial Information Systems
  • 10+ years accounting, auditing, and/or financial analysis experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Global shared service center experience
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and prioritizing workload
  • Strong communication skills, including experience working with a highly decentralized matrix organization and influencing others outside of own area
  • Experience leading transformation and transition projects within a global shared service environment
  • Self-directed, positive work ethic aligned with execution and departmental vision
  • Ability to build and manage collaborative relationships
  • Strong understanding of finance concepts, accounting processes, and financial systems knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to link financial results to operational performance and use data to drive decisions
  • Ability to solve practical problems in varied situations
  • High level of customer focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Highly Preferred
  • Working knowledge of OneStream, HighRadius, Perceptive, Oracle, Power BI
  • Manufacturing industry experience
