Reports to: MIS Manager

Job Purpose

The MIS Officer is responsible for designing and developing data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Qlik Sense, Qlik View, Power BI, or Tableau. The role will support the DRM Team in automating recurring reports, facilitating change requests, and building new dashboards for regulatory compliance, profit-sharing, product launches, and partner onboarding. The MIS Officer ensures data transformation and aggregation are accurate, consistent, and well-documented.

Key Responsibilities Management & Networking
  • Support business units across the bank by automating MIS extracts, dashboards, and ad hoc reports.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements for regular daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly reporting.
  • Map data requirements to compute KPIs and business metrics.
  • Identify data gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Present insights using tables, charts, and graphs to highlight trends and patterns.
  • Collaborate with the MIS Team Lead and DRM Team to meet departmental KPIs and objectives.
Functional
  • Assess business needs and propose solutions through data methodology and project proposals.
  • Translate business questions into effective data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Design and publish self-service dashboards for end users.
  • Conduct data analysis, share insights, and provide tactical recommendations.
  • Transform complex data findings into business-friendly reports.
Technical
  • Use tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, SQL for reporting and visualization.
  • Develop scripts to query, join, and transform data.
  • Build data models and automate reports through NPrinting or similar tools.
  • Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to generate insights.
  • Document all scripts, formulas, and methodologies for transparency and knowledge sharing.
Job Specifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering/Operations Research, Informatics, or related field. MBA is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in MIS, data science, analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or data analysis.
  • At least 1 year in consulting, banking, credit, or collections.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Required: SQL, Hive, or SAS; Python, R, or Bash.
  • Preferred: Feature selection, data transformation, and engineering.
  • Functional: Consulting mindset and cross-industry process knowledge; business impact assessment and KPI tracking; data storytelling and actionable insight generation; strong stakeholder management; excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical data into business terms; organized, structured, and methodical project approach; strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
