About the Role As an Associate Engineer within Insight’s Infrastructure Managed Services team, you will support multiple clients, work on diverse technologies, and contribute to a team responsible for Managed Network incident, service request, change, and problem management. As an Associate Engineer You Will Lead drafting and creation of procedural and help documentation to assist team members. Support drafting of methods and procedures, maintain documentation of networks and network systems, and create other knowledge documentation as needed. Participate in and recommend continual service improvements. Analyze data to locate high-repeating incidents and find solutions to prevent or fix them. Lead problem management and root‑cause analysis, including drafting methods and procedures to eliminate recurrent incident load as root causes are discovered. Serve as a subject‑matter expert to junior teammates performing ITSM ticket management, and act as an escalation point for tickets that cannot be resolved at another tier. Partner with professional and consulting services on large project implementations, and lead complex client projects that are fulfilled and owned by Managed Services. A basic understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall is desired. What We’re Looking For Degree in Computer/Information Science, technical college, or equivalent work experience. Significant experience implementing and maintaining network technologies in a mixed‑vendor environment. Demonstrated experience with vendor technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, ASA, Firepower, Fortinet, F5, and Juniper. Demonstrated professional‑to‑expert level technology and support experience for routing/switching, security, wireless, etc., and at least one professional‑level certification. Demonstrated expert understanding and practical experience with monitoring and management of SD‑WAN solutions.
