Overview

The Buyer/Planner (Spanish Bilingual) manages Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) for their assigned product class, coordinating closely with the BBR Supervisor and Category Manager to track inventory and supply levels that meet customer demand and KPIs. Responsibilities include reviewing MRP signals, executing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, and maintaining data integrity across systems. This role oversees inventory and supply for high-value, complex commodities, directly affecting customer satisfaction and company cash flow through effective inventory management (DIO). The Buyer/Planner uses strong analytical skills and planning reports to identify risks and resolve supply or inventory issues. They independently handle complex problems, communicate effectively, and support supplier and inventory management processes.

Qualifications
  • Education: 4-year degree related to supply chain, logistics, business, engineering or manufacturing.
  • Experience: At least 3 years' experience related in supply chain like purchasing and/or supply planning.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or ORACLE database level systems, as well as knowledge in use of electronic collaboration tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
Major Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with SIOP goals and directives, perform monthly shipment and inventory planning.
  • Develop and execute supply chain improvement projects supporting sustainable stock availability and reducing excess inventory.
  • Do daily projection of results and identify risk/gap in achieving goals for the month in terms of Shipments, Past Due Backlogs and Inventory; report during scheduled team meetings.
  • Perform inventory excess and obsolete scrubbing and produce actions to reduce and avoid further buildup.
  • Monitor Finished Goods inventory and supply levels, assuring that requirements for the assigned product class are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner; maintain stocking levels (DSA) within established guidelines to fully support customer requirements and company goals.
  • Develop and execute action plans using the system according to standard operating procedures, including purchase order management & execution, coordinating with internal and external parties, and resolving supply constraints impacting Total Customer Satisfaction, Supply Availability and Inventory Objective.
  • Review Open Purchase Orders and Backlogs daily to execute expediting and schedule push outs of excess supply to suppliers as required, and update system dock dates.
  • Manage supplier performance related to on-time delivery, quantity and cost through focus supplier communication. Escalate issues to immediate superior as needed.
  • Deep working knowledge on different product classes to ensure robustness of the supply plan.
  • Compile, analyze and present data-driven information to monitor and control performance, including inventory opportunities, planning parameters and action item commitments.
  • Collaborate with different business functions for issues affecting materials availability and ensure that material plans align with Sales and Demand Plan.
  • Do system part maintenance and new part set-up; manage assigned parts in Salesforce to support customer requirements.
  • Project Management Lead - BBR Buyer/Planner Oracle and/or SAP Integration; support BBR Global projects such as E-Sourcing activity, Pricing Analysis/Savings, Supplier Improvement Drives.
  • Lead and collaborate with BBR and cross-functional teams on tactical and strategic business plans, including Kaizen activity and Improvement/Savings projects.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by BBR Supervisor and Category Manager and support Company activities.
