Job Description

This position is within the Engineering Solutions Group at XP Power. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing custom power delivery products that include AC/DC, DC/DC, high power, low power, high voltage, and low voltage switch mode power supplies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Design of AC/DC, DC/DC switch mode power supplies utilizing various topologies.
  2. Take products from concept to volume production while ensuring that it meets performance specifications, schedule, cost & reliability targets.
  3. Collaborate with the cross-functional team (PCB layout, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Test and Quality engineering) to ensure that design meets all DfX requirements.
  4. Select raw materials, components, and suppliers based on product performance specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Participate in research and development of new technologies.
  6. Participate in internal design reviews.
  7. Perform circuit simulations, DFMEA, component stress analysis, reliability prediction calculations, Design Verification Testing and write technical reports.
  8. Prepare documentation for product release.
  9. Support RMA group with root causes analysis.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 10-12 years of work experience.
  2. Experience in mixed signal circuit design, simulations, and test of power electronics.
  3. Working knowledge of power conversion principles, topologies, and technologies.
  4. Experience designing electronic assemblies and/or power conversion products.
  5. RF and High Voltage experience is preferred.
  6. Ability to execute a test independently, from setup to result reporting is necessary.
  7. Experience in validation with strong debug skills, problem tracking.
  8. Experience with test data collection and analysis.
  9. Experience with test plan & test procedure development is a plus.
  10. In-depth understanding of control theory.
  11. Strong project management experience.
  12. Ability to make economic judgments with respect to product cost and manufacturing process.
  13. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  14. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  15. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Based in The Philippines
• Must be amenable to future RTO/Hybrid onsite reporting in Ortigas, Metro Manila
