WHAT DOES A CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ANALYST DO? This role involves simplifying complex data into comprehensible insights and ensuring strategic recommendations reach all organizational levels, including senior management. Essential duties include leading problem-solving initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting implementation to ensure the realization of benefits. A Review of Professional Skills and Functions for Continuous Improvement Analyst 2. Continuous Improvement Analyst Details Training Ownership: Take ownership of CI-related training modules and the delivery process. Material Adaptation: Adopt existing training materials and adjust them to best fit the organizational requirements in terms of content and delivery method. Method Exploration: Explore and implement new CI training methods. Resource Leveraging: Leverage existing CI training skills and resources across the organization. Curriculum Development: Develop and own CI-related training curricula. Needs Exploration: Explore functional needs. Calendar Development: Develop an annual training calendar. Pipelining Ownership: Own the candidate pipelining process from communication to demand management. Logistics Management: Manage training logistics, delivery, and follow-up activities. Coaching System Ownership: Own the system of coaching for participants. Certification Ownership: Own the training certification and recognition process. Case Study Conversion: Convert IM CI project solutions into case studies and CI training content. Project Support: Support CI project handover to process owners, e.g., post-project hypercare, process control dashboard design, post-project impact evaluation. Process Review: Review, identify, and coordinate within Procurement and with other business areas, either local, regional, or global, on reviewing and improving existing operational processes affecting Procurement to improve efficiencies, minimize costs, enhance productivity, and have a lean Procurement. Lean Implementation: Implement the full process of Lean Manufacturing in the Procurement area, including training, project implementation, audits, etc., using 5S, LSW, TWI, Kaizen, etc. Program Coordination: Be in charge of coordinating the Global Procurement Programs in the Philippines, including management of relations with other departments involved. Initiative Support: Support the implementation of Procurement initiatives to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of the projects. Documentation Maintenance: Maintain the documentation of the Procurement user guides, process flows, and others, ensuring that existing documentation is available to Procurement users for training and guidance. Report Design: Design and generate reports that will help the department in the analysis/evaluation of information from the various available Procurement tools. CI Cooperation: Cooperate with CI Specialists and the PMO team to maximize the impact of the training. Feedback Operation: Operate a training feedback loop to provide project pipeline inputs to CI Specialists and to keep enhancing training efficiency. Project Contribution: Contribute to the projects run by CI Specialists. Project Support: Support project administration, documentation, monitoring, and review tasks. Operational Excellence Enforcement: Ensure the plant operates under Operational Excellence guidelines as defined by the Dover platform. Lean Techniques Employment: Employ lean manufacturing techniques and champion the continuous improvement culture. Best Practices Facilitation: Facilitate implementation of CI best practices across the plant functional areas. Project Execution: Execute improvement projects identified by plant leadership. Gap Analysis Assistance: Assist in identifying facility gaps and forming strategic plans to address them. Lean Training: Train and lead employees on the Fundamentals of Lean including, but not limited to, 7 Wastes, 5-S, PDCA, SMED, Visual management, Visual factory, etc. Problem-Solving Training: Train employees on problem-solving skills and promote the use of problem-solving tools within the plant functional areas and become a subject matter expert. GEMBA Participation: Participate in GEMBA walks and drive CI culture across plant functional areas. Standardization Establishment: Establish standardized work and audit schedule for sustainability. OPEX Analysis: Analyze and develop reports relating to OPEX status and future plans showing goals and vision. Data Analysis: Analyze data and/or reports to find opportunities within KPI reporting structure. Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate small group meetings to brainstorm, gather information, or solidify action plans which support ongoing CI activities. Diversity Embrace: Embrace different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds and practice consensus leadership when possible. CI Communication: Communicate Lean CI vision to plant/functional leaders and implement lean CI strategy at the plant/functional level. 5. Continuous Improvement Analyst Functions Data Collection: Collect and interpret data from various work cells within the manufacturing operation. Graphical Development: Develop and maintain graphical analysis of data. Dashboard Improvement: Improve data collection and presentation through the creation of meaningful delivery dashboards or other methods of visual presentation. Dashboard Maintenance: Update and maintain dashboards and reports critical to operational success. Trend Highlighting: Highlight trends, positive or negative, as indicated by the data so that corrective action can be initiated. Deviation Monitoring: Monitor production deviation from standard, investigate the root cause, and make appropriate corrections. Performance Communication: Convey the prior week's performance and lead production leadership team performance meetings. Goal Execution: Drive execution of plant goals through communication of timely and effective data. CI Prioritization: Drive CI project priorities through impact on operations. Collaborative Work: Work collaboratively with other teams to understand business and customer needs and keep stakeholders informed. Quality Analysis: Perform high-quality analysis and produce quality outputs and data solutions in line with agreed processes and procedures. Quality Assurance: Carry out appropriate levels of review and quality assurance of the solution. Proactive Recommendations: Proactively make recommendations to improve data, controls, and outcomes while reducing cost and failure demand. Risk Escalation: Escalate risks and issues to line management in a timely manner and assist with implementing solutions where appropriate. Decision Integrity: Make decisions that ensure the integrity of core administration systems is maintained, ensuring decisions are appropriately documented in line with agreed processes. Service Delivery: Deliver all services to business and customers in line with agreed priorities. Knowledge Support: Actively support knowledge management within the team and the wider business. Dashboard Development: Develop dashboards and analytics in Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, and other software programs. Resource Maintenance: Maintain Continuous Improvement resources and standard work using SharePoint. Project Assistance: Assist in project timelines, resources, and deliverables with CI projects. Data Reporting: Generate reporting and conduct data analysis on CI project performance and manufacturing performance. Change Leadership: Act as a change agent committed to accelerating process improvements with the aim of supporting the business in achieving its objectives. Training Provision: Generate, provide, and participate in facility-specific training needs. Tool Development: Develop, implement, and distribute CI tools and best practice sharing across Cornerstone, including learning material, standard CI Playbooks, metrics, and identified process improvement solutions. Team Support: Support teams and apply a wide range of process improvement tools to assist in identifying and eliminating waste and support growth. CI Application: Apply CI technical and procedural knowledge to facilitate improvement workshops and events. Process Assistance: Assist Service Improvement Managers and Process Writers in the mapping of As-Is and To-Be processes in continuous improvement projects. Change Advocacy: Act as an advocate for change and disseminate information that highlights the benefits of developing a continuous improvement culture across the Firm. 10. Continuous Improvement Support Analyst Essential Functions Reporting Maintenance: Maintain and generate reporting analysis on a fleet of over 300 Airbus aircraft. Detailed Analysis: Provide detailed analysis and actionable recommendations through rigorous analysis and collaboration with subject matter experts. Communication: Summarize complex analyses into simple terms and communicate recommendations to all levels of the organization, including senior management. Analysis Leadership: Lead analysis from problem definition through implementation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable and continuous improvement.
