We are looking for geodetic survey engineer to become part of our site-based team at the Bacoor Reclamation and Development Project in between the Cavitex highway and Bacoor City (Philippines), overseeing the construction of a landmark reclamation project. What you do as a Geodetic Survey EngineerThe geodetic survey engineer will be reporting to the engineer’s representative on site. The geodetic survey engineer will be supporting the senior quantity surveyor. In addition to this, the role will survey the works, monitor/analyze the planning of the ongoing works, and support with cost/contractual aspects of the project. The duties will include:
- Surveying and mapping of project development; ensuring the contractor is undertaking the surveys correctly using the correct instruments and techniques
- Monitoring and control of the works; witnessing the works to ensure these are undertaken according to the project specifications. This includes monitoring the progress and making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Data Analysis—analysing survey data to provide insights and recommendations for the project. This includes processing and interpreting geospatial data to support decision-making.
- Quality Assurance—ensuring the quality and accuracy of the survey data and the dredging operations. This involves regular checks and validations to maintain high standards.
- Coordination—Collaborating with other team members, including engineers, project managers, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of survey data into the project workflow.
- Reporting—Preparing detailed reports and documentation of survey findings, progress, and any issues encountered. This helps in maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the project.
- Compliance—ensuring that all survey activities comply with relevant regulations and standards. This includes adhering to environmental guidelines and safety protocols.
- Contributing to the completion of weekly, monthly, and other reports
- Develop and maintain working relationships with client and contractor

The project involves dredging and reclamation works for the Bacoor Reclamation and Development Project (BRDP) at Bacoor, Philippines. Haskoning is the engineer of the project and is supervising the dredging and reclamation works undertaken by a contractor based on a FIDIC Construct Only type of contract. What you bringAs a geodetic survey engineer, you will supervise and work on the environmental aspects of the reclamation project. For this position, you need to have the following competencies/skills:
- minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree
- around 7-12 years of relevant work experience
- experience as geodetic survey engineer in a construction management consultancy firm is essential
- excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)
- strong in record keeping
- analytical thinker and strong problem solver
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- team player, versatile, and energetic
- adept at working in a digital way
- proficient in Microsoft suite of applications
