We're searching for a leader to head our Education sector and champion the mission of enhancing student learning. This position focuses on driving transformative change, not just adding incremental features. Your role will center on achieving strategic objectives rather than managing processes. You'll define the goals for our Education sector and have the autonomy to realize them. As the architect of the "Brain Lift," you'll craft the strategy and roadmap that unifies our educational product offerings. You'll guide a team of talented Product Owners, acting as a player-coach deeply involved in pivotal projects. The traditional one-size-fits-all education model doesn't cater to individual student needs. Our approach is to construct a new system rooted in learning science and AI, providing truly personalized instruction. We're demonstrating that education can be both profoundly personal and highly effective. This role deviates from the conventional VP of Product position. If you prefer managing processes over owning outcomes or wish to delegate key strategic tasks, this isn't the right fit. We're seeking a leader who is highly analytical, a first-principles thinker, and unwavering in achieving the set goals. You'll lead a skilled team of product owners and collaborate directly with the founders to guide the entire vertical. Your success will be measured by clear, data-driven evidence that your strategy has significantly improved student learning. What You Will Be Doing Mastering Domain Knowledge: Lead and refine the master "Education Domain BrainLift," integrating team and market insights into a unified strategy that guides the entire vertical in key product decisions. Steering the Portfolio Roadmap: Convert the Domain BrainLift into a results-focused roadmap for the entire product portfolio. Define the sequence of work that generates cumulative value and provides the strategic rationale to guide your team's efforts. Hands-on Leadership: Operate as a player-coach, driving your own OODA loops on critical outcomes to set benchmarks while mentoring your team through reviewing their iterations and enhancing their insights for integrated portfolio execution. What You Won’t Be Doing Functioning solely as a people manager. Your main role is to lead the vertical's strategy and establish execution standards, not just manage personnel, budgets, or processes. Implementing a pre-defined, top-down strategy. You are expected to author a comprehensive, overarching strategy for the entire vertical, building from foundational insights. Developing static, long-term roadmaps. Your portfolio roadmap is dynamic, adapting with agility based on weekly learnings from your team's iterations and your own experiences. Managing a "feature factory." Success is measured by achieving strategic outcomes for the vertical, fostering true integration between products rather than merely increasing feature output in isolation. Basic Requirements Minimum of 6 years in a product leadership role where you personally crafted the product vision and owned the core problem-solution hypothesis. Experience launching at least one successful product (not just a feature or module) that reached real users (not internal tools) from inception (not joining midway) to launch (achieving at least $1 million in revenue). Professional experience with AI in your daily work (e.g., research, analysis, synthesis, strategy).
