Overview
The primary responsibility of the Lead Development Supervisor is to generate new sales leads for the Sprout sales teams and to oversee the Lead Development Team. This job requires very strong skills in outbound sales prospecting and prospect qualification using several available tools, including but not limited to phone, email, and LinkedIn. This individual acts as the prospect acquisition expert.
Responsibilities- Identify new sales opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, emailing, and social selling
- Utilize a variety of cold prospecting techniques to generate qualified leads
- Train, coach, and support the Lead Development team to ensure skill development and performance growth
- Prepare and submit regular reports on team performance and progress
- Assist the manager in developing and executing prospecting strategies
- Lead the team in achieving daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets
- Identify and implement improvements in processes, workflows, and systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, trends, and tools in Lead Development/Sales Development/Lead Generation
- Promote a positive, goal-oriented team culture grounded in collaboration, motivation, and high morale
- Ensure all work methods and practices align with company values and policies
- Delegate tasks effectively and set clear deadlines for team members
- Set performance targets and motivate the team toward achievement
- Work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from managers to C-level executives within target accounts
- Manage a team of Lead Development professionals and oversee their day-to-day operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Development
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a Sales Development team
- Proven track record in prospecting and outbound calling, targeting both SME and large enterprise companies
- Ability to assess a prospect’s needs and align them with the value of the Sprout SaaS solution
- Confident self-starter with a strong ability to connect technological features to business goals
- Knowledgeable in SPIN and BANT sales methodologies
- Strong leadership and team motivation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Demonstrated success in coaching and training team members
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Positive, persistent, and professional “can-do” attitude
- Sound business judgment, integrity, and a strong commitment to excellence
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective in delivering compelling presentations
