Job Summary:

Oversee the financial planning, and compliance for our fast-growing e-commerce business. This role requires an individual with strong online sales and marketplace experience, particularly Amazon Seller Central and fluency in financial systems like NetSuite and ADP.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all month-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for CEO review.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data within NetSuite.
• Manage all financial audit processes and external reporting as needed.
• Develop and maintain 13- and 26-week cash flow forecasts.
• Partner with supply chain and merchandising teams to ensure alignment between financial forecasts and inventory planning.
• Provide insights and financial modeling to support strategic decisions.
• Oversee domestic sales tax filings and ensure accurate tax collection via TaxJar and the website platform.
• Learn and manage compliance, tax, and financial reporting requirements for expanding markets in Canada and Mexico.
• Manage integration and data alignment between Amazon Seller Central and NetSuite.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, lost inventory, and settlements.
• Run biweekly settlement processes and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Monitor and process AR using tools such as the Jitterbit Connector for Amazon.
• Own AP processes with oversight and minimal hands-on involvement.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer payments and vendor disbursements.
• Process biweekly payroll for 10 employees using ADP.
• Record payroll journal entries and respond to payroll-related questions.
• Support onboarding and other HR administrative tasks as needed.
• Lead the budgeting process and update forecasts as needed.
• Provide in-depth cost analysis and support executive team with strategic financial planning.
• Serve as the NetSuite expert for internal users, responding to small team requests.
• Ensure financial systems are optimized for performance and accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting or controller experience.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proficiency with ADP payroll systems is required.
• Must have 1-2 years of experience using NetSuite.
• Inventory management
• Reporting

Experience in Financial Analysis.

Experience with Amazon Seller Central and online marketplace accounting.

Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, forecasting models).

Strong knowledge/background of U.S. sales tax compliance and willingness to learn international compliance for Canada and Mexico.
