Location Global Business Services – Manila, 11F Five Neo Building, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines Overview Responsible for managing controllership activities associated with period end close and finance reporting, including monthly, quarterly, annual close processes and regulatory reporting. Key activities include general accounting, statutory & financial reporting, and intercompany processing & reconciliations. Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Accounting / Auditing and Finance Industries Accounting Duties and Responsibilities Preparation of monthly financial reports, annual financial statements and any other internal or external reports required, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Assist in transition of GL functions both into and out of the CFS. Develop new and streamline existing processes and systems to deliver value‑add information efficiently. Be an effective team player, driving efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department. Essential functions: Preparation of monthly financial and trend reports. Preparation, analysis, and posting of General Ledger journal entries. GL account reconciliation at month end. Posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments. Review and reconciliation of inter‑company accounts, coordinating with Abbott locations worldwide. Multi‑currency bank reconciliations. Variance analysis and standard cost updates. Provide information to management and other departments as required. Support transition of functions to other locations into the GBS. Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly corporate packages. Other duties: Collaboration with external audit staff for periodic year‑end review procedures and local statutory audits. Provision of input on local finance policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Participation in ongoing policy and control environment development to ensure compliance with internal control regulations. Enhancement of existing processes and development of new ones for efficient completion of duties.
