• Ensure that the project has the necessary manpower and expertise.
• Ensure that the team has all the necessary equipment and tools to perform their duties and responsibilities.
• On-board newly hired staff to BTSMC and Shell’s ways of working along with other processes, guidelines, and requirements such as ODM, DEP, and HSSE.
• Coordinate and lead the design team to ensure the quality and timeliness of design deliverables and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Establish and enforce design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
• Review and evaluate design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and presentations, to verify accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with project requirements. Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance design outputs.
• Prepare reports and presentations and present to stakeholders if necessary.
• Participate in project planning activities, providing input on design feasibility, resource allocation, and project timelines. Develop design strategies, concepts, and solutions that align with project goals, budget, and timelines. Monitor progress, identify risks, and address issues to ensure project success.
• Interact with clients to understand design requirements and provide design consultation and guidance.
• Encourage effective collaboration and communication within the design team and with other departments and stakeholders. Facilitate regular design team meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices. Encourage continuous learning and professional development among the design center team.
• Manage resignation and turnover of the team.
• Provide recommendations to improve the team’s processes, guidelines, and ways of working.
• Manage subordinate job performance by communicating objectives, targets, monitoring progress, and appraising results and performance.
• Counsel and discipline employees in accordance with the Company’s policies, rules & regulations.
• Manage subordinate schedules and evaluate subordinate performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Immediate Superior from time to time.
• May be asked to support other BTSMC projects as necessary.

• Work Schedule: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM - Monday to Saturday

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related fields.
• Master Engineering Degree is a plus.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in leading a technical office for multi-discipline as engineering lead or manager role.
• Oil & Gas Industry experience is an advantage.
• Direct experience as technical lead for projects such as Tank construction , refurbishment , Gantry loading , Terminal automation system , Vapor recovery unit is a plus.
• A strong background and expertise in design principles, processes, and methodologies (e.g., process design, civil and structural, mechanical and piping, instrumentation and electrical designs).
• Knowledgeable in project specifications, design philosophy, PFD, P&ID, calculations, operation manuals to comply with client requirements.
• Fluent in the local language where required.
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office & MS Projects.
• Willing to be assigned in Tabangao, Batangas.
