Job Summary The General Accountant’s role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements and other financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, staying updated on accounting principles, and providing valuable insights by analyzing financial data to support decision- making. This role requires a proactive approach in identifying and implementing the accounting practices to enhance the efficiency of day-to-day operations. Duties / Responsibilities Maintain and update the accounting book of accounts. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal and external accounting policies. Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and financial year-end reports promptly. Monitor, file, and facilitate payment of tax returns before the deadline and secure records of it. Prepare and submit documents required for the application and/or renewal of business permits and secure the necessary licenses to achieve compliance with the local government. Prepare and submit reports to the BIR, such as data entry, sworn declarations, and other BIR-related documentation. Assist in the disbursement process from the validation of payment requests, check preparation, and check release/settlement through various modes of payments up to the securing of primary and secondary receipts. Support finance-related work and practice good accounting records and documentation. Acts as a cash custodian and maintains accurate records of the cash flow. Assist in the financial planning process, including budgeting and forecasting. Provides recommendations and valuable insights to support the decision-making process. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to enhance the financial processes. Demonstrated keen observation and strong attention to detail. Work independently with minimal supervision while efficiently meeting tight deadlines. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. At least two to three years of working experience in an accounting role. With in-depth knowledge and experience in the full accounting cycle, including handling accounting reports. Knowledgeable in basic taxation and experienced in filing tax returns. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related accounting software. Demonstrates discretion in managing confidential and sensitive information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
