JOB PURPOSE
The Sourcing and Vendor Management Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing vendor partnerships that support GOLDEN ABC’s sourcing strategies, product development requirements, and quality standards. The role ensures that vendors deliver on cost competitiveness, quality assurance, compliance, and speed-to-market, while maintaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

This role also supports vendor performance monitoring, contract administration, and sourcing innovation to strengthen GOLDEN ABC’s competitive advantage in the fast-paced retail fashion industry.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Vendor Sourcing and Development

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on capability, capacity, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

  • Support the onboarding process of new vendors, including due diligence, accreditation, and documentation.

  • Research and recommend alternative sourcing options, new materials, and emerging markets to expand vendor networks.

2. Vendor Relationship and Performance Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between GOLDEN ABC and vendors for daily operational requirements.

  • Monitor vendor performance using defined KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, compliance, cost efficiency).

  • Conduct regular vendor reviews, communicate feedback, and recommend performance improvement measures.

  • Escalate vendor concerns and collaborate on corrective action plans.

3. Cost and Contract Management

  • Support negotiations with vendors on pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contractual agreements to achieve best value.

  • Track and analyze cost breakdowns, ensuring alignment with budget targets and sourcing strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of supplier contracts and agreements.

4. Compliance and Quality Assurance Support

  • Ensure that all vendors adhere to GOLDEN ABC’s compliance standards, including legal, ethical, labor, and environmental regulations.

  • Coordinate with QA, Technical, and Merchandise Services teams to validate product quality and vendor compliance.

  • Assist in vendor audits and ensure timely submission of required certifications and documents.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Design, Product Development, and Logistics teams to align sourcing plans with business requirements.

  • Support special projects such as new product launches, collaborations, or fast-track sourcing initiatives.

  • Provide regular updates on vendor performance, cost trends, and market insights to leadership.

6. Process Improvement and Innovation

  • Recommend process improvements in vendor management, sourcing workflows, and communication systems.

  • Stay updated on global sourcing trends, sustainable materials, and vendor technologies to keep GOLDEN ABC competitive.
