Job location: Lapu-Lapu, Central Visayas, Philippines Responsibilities Work with Facilities Manager to manage Facilities operations of the site. Operate and maintain HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) systems, NVCA (Nitrogen, Vacuum & Compressed Dry Air) systems, PWS (Power System) and all auxiliary equipment for the uninterrupted supply of these utilities to the entire plant, particularly production operations, general offices, and all other support areas. Support the operations and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Plant, Reverse Osmosis/Deionized Water System, Domestic Water System, Sewage Treatment Plant, Air Fume Scrubber, and Fire Protection System. Oversee and implement continuous facilities improvements, maintain orderly and safe central plant/machine rooms, and pursue continuous facilities cost savings and energy conservation measures. Interface with environmental, health and safety (EHS) and other departments to develop programs that ensure regulatory compliance with environmental protection procedures. Consult with manufacturing and equipment engineering personnel to determine utilities and environmental requirements for new or modified production areas. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering License: Licensed Chemical Engineer Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of directly related experience in Facility Engineering in a semiconductor/electronics industry (preferred), or pharmaceutical/food and beverage industry. Other appropriate combinations of above mentioned education and directly related experiences are acceptable if the ability to perform duties and responsibilities is demonstrated. Skills: Basic working knowledge on the operation, control, maintenance, and repair of pumps, electric motors, fans, blowers, electrical and power panels, air-conditioning equipment (centralized, packaged & unitary units). Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes plus understanding of OSHA, safety and other regulatory standards, policies and procedures. Effective verbal and written communication, information management abilities; general knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of EHS systems, especially safety. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in facilities operations and maintenance. Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills; ability to manage diverse groups of construction and maintenance personnel. Highly developed interpersonal and management skills (influence, direct, motivate, evaluate), team-building and leadership abilities.
