Trust Legal Officer responsible for legal advisory, policy management, audit coordination, and committee support within the Trust Banking Group.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal and regulatory advice on fiduciary business activities and assessing related risks
  • Coordinating with the Bank’s Legal Services Division and external counsels on case status and strategies
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts, agreements, and correspondence with clients and service providers
  • Developing, reviewing, amending, and communicating Trust Banking Group’s operating policies, procedures, forms, and agreements
  • Maintaining and updating the policies and procedures repository and Manual of Policies and Procedures
  • Conducting educational campaigns on Trust regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Advising on BSP rules and regulations on Trust and Other Fiduciary Activities and internal policies
  • Coordinating and submitting data/information for internal and external audits
  • Assisting in crafting and consolidating audit replies and monitoring audit findings and corrective actions
  • Supporting Board-level and Management-level Committee Meetings (Operations Committee, Trust Committee)
  • Performing other related functions as assigned
About You

  • Strong legal and regulatory knowledge related to fiduciary business activities
  • Experience in legal advisory, contract preparation, and policy management
  • Ability to coordinate with internal legal teams and external counsels
  • Skills in managing audit processes and responding to audit findings
  • Capability to support Board and Management-level committees
  • Excellent communication skills for conducting educational campaigns and liaising with stakeholders
