Role: Associate Technical Director - Cost Estimating We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods. Role accountabilities Lead the delivery of cost management in commercial/retail/residential and transportation projects. Deliver projects within cost, time and quality standards, with significant technical knowledge and experience in cost management. Create project costings and budgets from objectives, managing finances to meet profit and budgetary targets and achieve best value outcomes. Demonstrable understanding of clients key objectives within the appropriate sector. Assure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service. Analyze and compile complex data and documents, review analyses, and provide recommendations to support project decision-making. Support development of current cost and commercial management systems and processes using industry best practice. Improve services and drive innovation to increase the team’s contribution to project delivery. Manage relationships with customers to identify opportunities to improve cost management offering and deliver customer satisfaction. Build valued relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction, develop the cost management service, and create new business opportunities. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. 15 to 25 years of relevant experience in cost and commercial management, with a strong focus on mobility projects, especially highways/railways. Master’s Degree (advantageous). MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) certification is mandatory. Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting. Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts, negotiate contracts, and interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Knowledge of standard methods of measurement such as NRM, RMM and MMHW. Proficiency in technical platforms such as COSTX, Power BI, Smartsheet, and BIM Measure is advantageous.
