We are looking for a visionary and strategic Design Manager to lead the creative development and execution of seasonal collections for a dynamic fashion retail brand. Youll drive concept creation, fabric and color direction, and line development all while ensuring alignment with business goals and brand identity.
This is a key leadership role that balances creativity with commercial understanding, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and knows how to translate trends into collections that sell.
What Youll Do
- Lead seasonal concept creation, including trend research, fabric sourcing, and color palette development.
- Oversee the development of compelling, brand-aligned collections that meet customer needs and sales goals.
- Direct and inspire a team of creative designers, ensuring innovation, consistency, and execution quality.
- Present line direction and seasonal concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to continuously evolve design strategies.
- Conduct regular market reviews and competitive benchmarking to stay ahead of trends.
- Ensure timely execution of design milestones in line with the Merchandise Working Calendar (MWC).
- Recommend vendors and material sources based on quality, innovation, and suitability to design goals.
What Were Looking For
Education
- Degree in Fine Arts, Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, Industrial Design, or any fashion-related field.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a creative or design leadership role within retail or fashion.
- Experience in collection building, fashion development, and brand positioning is a strong advantage
