Purchasing Specialist

A Purchasing Specialist are the sources and coordinates with potential vendors/suppliers. This includes evaluating quotes and negotiating terms of payments and delivery lead time. Prepares purchase orders and tracking/storing of the documents (i.e. Invoices) related to the purchase. Also able to receive and confirm goods are in good condition, oversee the return for defective items. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Research potential vendors Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing Track orders and ensure timely delivery Review the quality of purchased products Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends Perform and assist to eliminate any discrepancy in same and prepare all contract terms and conditions Perform other job-related responsibilities or tasks that are not stipulated on this document but assigned by your superior or required by the company. Follow company rules and regulations as specified in the Company Handbook. Education Level: Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
