ONBOARDING SEO SPECIALIST

The Onboarding Friend plays a critical role in setting up and launching new customer accounts. You will use internal tools to configure settings based on customer intake forms, verify data accuracy, and conduct quality checks across keyword research and SEO strategy output. This role involves reviewing outputs from our AI agents and tools and ensuring the configurations are fully functional and high-quality before ongoing content and technical execution begins.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review customer onboarding forms and input data accurately into internal tools.

• Complete CMS-specific configurations depending on whether a customer uses WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or another platform.

• Customize site setup workflows, including resolving edge-case issues and unexpected CMS behavior.

• Perform keyword research using MEGA’s proprietary keyword tools.

• Supplement keyword research using Semrush, especially for cluster expansion or customer-specific targets.

• Review AI-generated SEO strategy documents for completeness, coherence, and alignment with customer goals

• Provide quality assurance feedback on automation outputs before deployment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years experience in SEO or digital marketing with exposure to operations or project management

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or related field

• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals (keywords, metadata, page structure)

• Detail-oriented with excellent written communication and documentation skills

• Comfortable using CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow) and performing minor troubleshooting

• Ability to follow SOPs and use internal task-tracking platforms

• Above-average English communication skills

Content Friends are responsible for improving, optimizing, and publishing website content across a variety of CMS platforms. This includes reviewing and refining content generated by our AI agents, executing internal linking strategies, performing local SEO enhancements, and publishing optimized assets directly in customer platforms. Content Friends also support special editorial tasks and manual interventions where our automation is not sufficient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and improve SEO blog posts and landing pages created by MEGA’s AI systems.

• Apply keyword optimizations, heading structure improvements, metadata editing, and readability enhancements.

• Build and manage internal linking structures between related content pieces.

• Organize and deploy content clusters across customer websites based on topic and keyword relevance.

• Perform local SEO tasks such as:

  • Optimizing Google Business Profile (GMB) listings.

  • Publishing Q&As, business updates, and GMB posts.

• Follow SOPs to assist in backlink-related content fulfillment.

• Manually post refined content into CMS platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow.

• Execute editorial tasks that require judgment beyond what automation can produce.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2–5 years hands-on SEO content production, editing, or publishing

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field

• Strong English writing, editing, and proofreading skills

• Proficiency with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow)

• Understanding of on-page SEO (titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt text)

• Familiarity with Local SEO and updating Google Business Profiles

• Ability to follow SOPs, work independently, and escalate issues when needed

• Above-average English communication skills

Technical Friends play a key role in resolving SEO-related technical issues that affect site health, crawlability, indexation, and performance. This role involves reviewing audit outputs, implementing CMS-specific fixes, and improving technical benchmarks such as Core Web Vitals. It requires familiarity with CMS platforms and SEO tooling and the ability to deploy changes safely within SOP-driven workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Resolve page-level and site-wide issues flagged in technical audits, including:

• Missing or duplicate title/meta tags

• Broken internal/external links

• Improper header tag structures

• Canonicalization and sitemap issues

  • Improve Core Web Vitals performance, focusing on:

  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

  • First Contentful Paint (FCP)

  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)

  • Overall page load and interactivity

• Implement structured data (schema markup) across relevant page types.

• Make CMS-specific changes across WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow using built-in tools or plugins.

• Use tools like Screaming Frog, Semrush, and Google Search Console to verify progress and QA fixes.

• Work in alignment with MEGA’s SOPs and escalate issues that fall outside of routine workflows.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2–10 years hands-on experience in technical SEO

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Marketing, or related field

• Strong knowledge of crawlability, indexation, structured data, and Core Web Vitals

• Ability to implement technical SEO fixes across WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow

• Proficiency with SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, RankMath, Yoast, Semrush)

• Comfortable performing QA and resolving complex site issues independently

• Above-average English communication skills
