Overview

The role of an Accounting Supervisor involves the supervision and management of the accounting department’s day to day activities and operations.

This position is responsible, for guaranteeing the timely documentation of transactions, preparing financial statements, well rounded and familiar with PEZA Compliance Report , leading the accounting department and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. The Accounting Supervisor plays a role, in upholding the organization’s wellbeing and integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute financial data to business plans, strategic plans and reviews as necessary to ensure they meet accounting operational standards
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports
  • Develop and monitor budget information for the accounting department; track expenditures and variances, and take corrective measures as needed
  • Audit transactions to approve ledger entries
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and financial reporting, BIR, Taxation and PEZA reporting compliance.
Qualifications
  • BS Accountancy/Accounting Graduate
  • Proven 2 to 5 years work experience as Accounting Supervisor/Officer
  • CPA is an advantage but not required
  • Familiarity with General Accounting, PEZA Compliance Reporting
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of handling Accounts Receivable/Payable, BIR Taxation and Compliance
  • Good communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skill
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Be proactive, positive and responsible
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, internal control systems, and understanding of manufacturing and inventory control are required
  • With physical inventory and cycle count experience in a cost environment
  • With working knowledge on Accounting Systems; QuickBooks, ERP, Oracle exposure is a plus
  • Ability to independently anticipate, organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of BIR Transaction and Taxation
