QA Automation Engineer

Overview My client is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join their Agile team as an advocate of quality, driving Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) to ensure business outcomes are delivered. Role Responsibilities Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers and QA teams globally for test planning, design and coordination of testing efforts. Play a key role in automated tests, supporting design, development, execution and maintenance of scripts that run in a CI/CD environment. Take ownership and prioritise tasks independently. Experiment with multiple technologies and methodologies to deliver the best solution. Communicate progress and raise impediments early to minimise impact on delivery. Essential Experience & Competences Proficient in a programming or scripting language such as JavaScript, Java or similar. Demonstrable experience using JIRA, Zephyr, UI automation tooling (Test Complete, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), Python, Cucumber, jBehave or similar frameworks. Develop end‑to‑end functional automated tests. Background in back‑end session client/server automation using JavaScript, VeriFIX (FIX session automation added advantage). Experience with GUI automation using Selenium or WebDriverIO with JavaScript. Non‑Functional testing (performance, load, stress, security) using tools such as JMeter, K6 or similar. Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins. Work within Agile teams with a BDD approach to refine requirements. Understanding of trade lifecycle and broker/trader platforms. Appreciation of the full SDLC and emphasis on quality throughout. Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive and independent approach to problem solving. Delivery‑focused and pragmatic, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Desired Skills Background and experience with financial/trading platforms and knowledge of financial markets. Relevant testing qualifications such as ISTQB or Agile Software Testing courses. In‑depth knowledge of AWS services. Experience with serverless architecture and microservices. Experience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design. Knowledge of Jira or similar issue management system. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
