Media Relations Manager, The Philippines

About the role:
As the Media Relations Specialist, you will be working to build the Vero business in the Philippines and across ASEAN and this include the following:

• Support the team with strategic knowledge of Philippine media scene.
  

• Manage and establish genuine connections, and nurture long-term relationships between Vero and Media of all levels to promote trust and two-way communication
  

• Develop, update and manage the database of media for Vero Philippines
  

• Support the internal teams in media execution and develop sustainable internal processes to secure the agency’s relationships and to monitor regular engagement.
  

• Support the Culture team in growing the brand name and reputation of Vero in the industry, keep the name of Vero active across the media channels in Philippines and in the region
  

• Support the team in pitching and supporting client activity in the realm of PR, social, digital & influencer engagement. Includes providing creative solutions to client’s challenges and embracing emerging marketing technology for the betterment of the agency and client business.
  

About You:

• Graduate of bachelor's degree in Public relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related course
• You have at least 5 years of working experience in a communication-related field, working with journalists on a daily basis.
• You have a strong journalist network, ideally with business, corporate and sustainability media. You understand the market’s specificities when it comes to media engagement, and you know how to keep both updated and growing.
• You believe efficient communication is sparked by positive conversations.
• You trust that creativity and empathy are at the heart of great communication strategies.
• You have good English speaking and writing skills and you are comfortable working in a young, multicultural environment.
• You don’t satisfy with boring things; you are curious and always up to date with new trends
• You love to join events and meet people
• You are highly organized, adaptable, curious, and creative and your friends rely on you to organize crazy parties/activities.

TRAVEL & PLACE TO WORK

At Vero, we believe in flexibility and trust. We support both working from home (WFH) and face-to-face interactions in countries where offices are available. Our team leaders decide where their teams will work, whether it's at the office, from home, or at a third space like a local café. We understand that everyone has different needs and preferences, so we offer flexible working hours from Monday to Friday, which may vary depending on workload and client needs.
