Calculating material quantities, labor hours, equipment needs, and other costs associated with the project. Developing detailed cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, ensuring they are competitive and accurate. Utilizing databases, historical data, and market research to determine accurate material and labor costs. Working with subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing for specialized work. Identifying opportunities to reduce costs or improve project efficiency without compromising quality. Tracking actual costs against the estimated budget and identifying potential cost overruns. Keeping abreast of construction industry trends, material costs, and labor rates. Collaborating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide cost information and resolve issues. Requirements Strong analytical and mathematical skills – Ability to analyze complex information and perform calculations accurately. Knowledge of construction methods and materials. Understanding of different construction processes and materials. Attention to detail – Ability to identify and account for all costs associated with a project. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Problem-solving skills – Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cost estimation. Time management skills – Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Software Proficiency Using construction estimating software and other tools to streamline the estimation process. Work Schedule Monday to Friday 9pm - 7pm PHT #J-18808-Ljbffr
