Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed, accurate construction schedules for all phases of projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to create realistic project timelines, ensuring that all activities are appropriately allocated and sequenced.
  • Monitor the progress of construction activities, track milestones, and identify any delays or potential issues that may impact the schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on schedule progress, including deviations, delays, and recovery plans.
  • Ensure that resource allocation (labor, materials, equipment) is planned effectively and adjustments are made as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in the coordination and procurement of materials and equipment to ensure timely availability.
  • Work closely with the project team to resolve any scheduling conflicts or disruptions that arise during the construction process.
  • Evaluate project risks and develop contingency plans to address potential delays or obstacles.
  • Update and adjust schedules as needed based on changes in project scope, weather delays, unforeseen circumstances, or other factors.
  • Prepare and deliver regular schedule performance reports and updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards while adhering to project timelines.
  • Review and assess subcontractor schedules to ensure integration into the overall project plan.
  • Utilize scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to develop, track, and update schedules, providing both short-term and long-term visibility into project timelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Planner/Scheduler in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Pro-core).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and resource management.
  • Experience in identifying and managing project risks related to scheduling.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project conditions and tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and industry standards.
