PURPOSE

SENIOR ARCHITECT is responsible for conceptual development and liaising with stakeholders to manage and execute the design.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Liaising with Managing Director, Design Principal, Operations, Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Vendor/Suppliers, and other employees/departments (where appropriate).
  2. Overseeing the assigned Interior Design Projects (including adaptation of budget and adherence to timelines).
  3. Overseeing the design for a client and ensuring that the design fits within the Client’s expectations and requirements.
  4. Maintaining the Project’s overall design direction and aesthetic.
  5. Managing the delivery and deliverables of the Project.
  6. Managing and mentoring more junior design staff.
  7. Responsible for the effective presentation of design proposals to the client.
  8. Assisting in the preparation of Professional Design Contract Proposals for Interior Design Projects.
  9. Seeking continuing professional development; researching and updating on latest industry standards, innovations, and best practices.
  10. Assisting in the production of contract documents, specifications, and other documents relating to the project.
  11. Assisting in the preparation of presentations, including renderings and material boards/mood boards.
  12. Selecting and presenting all Furnishing and Materials for approval of the Principal and the client.
  13. Reviewing Project documents including drawings, sketches, schedules, and specifications.
  14. Managing Project team and resources.
  15. Maintaining project files.
  16. Contributing or otherwise assisting as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education
Candidate must be a Licensed Architect.

Minimum Experience/Training
Must have 5 years of relevant experience in Interior and Architecture Design -- Corporate Office Projects.

Competency
Effective verbal and written communication skills; problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and self-starter; programming abilities to extract information and produce reports; knowledge of building and accessible codes.
