What You’ll Do

As a Part-Time Backend Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining software systems to support our professional services, ensuring operations run efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications from concept to deployment, and integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Design, develop, and deploy server-side code using Python and Node.js.
  • Design and implement database schemas, queries, and interactions with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed for functionality and data exchange.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and maintain high code quality standards.
  • Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user information and business data.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operation of web applications.
  • Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python and Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and RESTful API design.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Zoho and Zoho Deluge is preferred. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Equivalence of work experience considered; bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering is preferred but not required.
Location & Schedule
